Dr. Dorothy Lall

Dr. Dorothy Lall is a faculty member in the Department of Community Medicine at Christian Medical College, Vellore. She is a medical doctor by training, holding an MD in Community Medicine along with a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Epidemiology from Emory University and the Centre for Chronic Disease Control, Delhi. She has also pursued doctoral research in health systems at Maastricht University, Netherlands. Her research interests are centred on primary health care and the management of chronic non-communicable diseases. She has contributed to health systems research with a focus on strengthening primary care delivery and NCD prevention and control in low- and middle-income settings, and has served as a peer reviewer for international journals including PLOS ONE. Dr. Dorothy Lall brings together expertise in community medicine, cardiovascular epidemiology, and health systems research, making significant contributions to public health practice and policy. Her work at CMC Vellore reflects a commitment to bridging research and community-level healthcare delivery, particularly in addressing the growing burden of non-communicable diseases in India.
