Dr. Jackwin Sam Paul serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health at Christian Medical College, Vellore. He is thankful for the opportunity to walk alongside communities, colleagues, and students in efforts to strengthen primary health care and public health systems, especially for those often overlooked.
His areas of interest include health policy and systems research, substance abuse control, and community-based approaches to non-communicable diseases. He is particularly drawn to work that uplifts local strengths, especially through the training and support of community health workers and volunteers.
He seeks to practice a kind of public health that is rooted in compassion, humility, and hope believing that true impact comes not only from knowledge but from serving with integrity and love.
Jackwin is guided by his faith, with a commitment to justice and equity through meaningful, shared work.
