Dr. Mary Anbarasi Johnson

Dr. Mary Anbarasi Johnson is a Professor and Head of the Pediatric Nursing Department at the College of Nursing, CMC Vellore, with over 33 years of experience in nursing education, clinical practice, and research. She completed her BSc(N) from CMC Vellore, where she was awarded the President’s Gold Medal for standing first in the university. Dr. Johnson has held distinguished international positions, including Assistant Professor at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, USA, and Assistant Director of Nursing at the Kamis Mushayt Armed Forces Hospital in the Saudi Arabia Defence Sector. She has also served as Deputy Nursing Superintendent at CMC Vellore, overseeing staff training, quality assurance, and NABH accreditation coordination, and as a member of the CMC Institutional Research Board for four years. She is a reviewer, editorial member, or advisory member for over 40 international journals and has served as a master trainer for international projects including GFATM and IMNCI. Dr. Johnson is a recipient of the Rifacimento International Icon of the Year Award and the Asian Pacific Educationist and Nursing Specialist Award.
