Dr. Sanjith Aaron is a Professor in the Department of Neurological Sciences at Christian Medical College, Vellore. He holds an MBBS, MD in Internal Medicine, and a DM in Neurology, along with a Fellowship in Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke. He joined the faculty at CMC Vellore in 2006 after completing his DM in Neurology, and subsequently completed a Stroke and Cerebrovascular Fellowship at the Calgary Stroke Program, Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
His subspecialty interests are stroke, cerebral venous thrombosis, and other cerebrovascular diseases. He leads the CMC Vellore CVT registry, one of the largest cerebral venous thrombosis registries in India, contributing significantly to the understanding of the epidemiology, risk factors, and long-term outcomes of this condition.
Dr. Sanjith Aaron has an extensive publication record spanning stroke, demyelinating diseases, paraneoplastic neurological syndromes, and clinical neurosciences. His work continues to advance the understanding and management of cerebrovascular diseases in South Asia and beyond.
