As a health economist and public health professional with diverse experience in several specialties, I bring a unique clinical and operational lens. I have gained diverse experience in various medical specialities at both tertiary and secondary care levels in India and the UK. My areas of interest include NCDs, health ageing, Rheumatology, and infectious diseases.
As a health economist, I have trained at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I have collaborated on numerous clinical and public health projects. I am currently doing a part-time NIHR-funded PHD affiliated with the University of Sheffield, working on a health system decision model for older people’s care in the UK.
Our Health Economics team at the Centre of Public Health, CMC, seeks to provide an economic perspective to clinical care, organisational decision-making and population-based interventions. We plan to incorporate rational methods to responsible adopt and use appropriate technologies in healthcare. We aim to expand our learning, linkages, and skills by providing contextually relevant solutions for LMICs.
